Angkor Wat is one of the most iconic locations in the world for a surprise proposal, offering unforgettable scenery and a once-in-a-lifetime backdrop for such an important moment. As Cambodia’s most famous temple and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s also a very popular place for visitors, which means timing and planning are important.
For proposals, I usually recommend meeting early in the morning, shortly after sunrise, when the light is beautiful and the temples are quieter. This creates a more relaxed atmosphere and allows us to capture natural moments without large crowds around.
While Angkor Wat is the most well-known location, there are also several other beautiful temples nearby that can offer a more private setting. I’m happy to suggest the best locations depending on the time of year and the kind of atmosphere you’re hoping for.
