I understand that travel plans can change. I try to keep my cancellation and rescheduling policy straightforward and as flexible as possible when enough notice is provided.
Full refund or free rescheduling.
Cancel at least 21 days before your photoshoot for a full refund. You may also reschedule your booking at no additional cost, subject to availability.
50% refund or one free reschedule.
If you cancel between 7 and 20 days before your photoshoot, 50% of the booking fee will be refunded.
Alternatively, you may reschedule once at no additional cost, subject to availability.
Non-refundable.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the photoshoot are non-refundable.
I will still do my best to help with changes where possible. Any rescheduling during this period is subject to my availability and is not guaranteed.
Light rain and changing weather are common in Cambodia and do not normally require a photoshoot to be cancelled.
If severe weather makes the photoshoot impractical or unsafe, I will work with you to reschedule where possible. If I determine that the photoshoot cannot reasonably go ahead and rescheduling is not possible, a refund will be offered.
The following terms apply to photography services booked with Siem Reap Photographer. By confirming and paying for a booking, you acknowledge and agree to these cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms.
Cancellation requests must be communicated directly to Siem Reap Photographer.
The date and time the cancellation request is received will be used to determine the applicable cancellation terms.
For cancellations received:
21 days or more before the scheduled photoshoot:
The client is entitled to a full refund of amounts paid for the photography service, or may request to reschedule at no additional cost, subject to availability.
7 to 20 days before the scheduled photoshoot:
The client is entitled to a refund of 50% of the amount paid for the photography service. Alternatively, the client may request one rescheduling of the booking at no additional cost, subject to availability.
Less than 7 days before the scheduled photoshoot:
Payments are non-refundable. Requests to reschedule may be considered where reasonably possible but are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
All rescheduling is subject to photographer availability.
Where free rescheduling is permitted under this policy, the booking may be moved once without a rescheduling fee.
Any subsequent change may be treated as a cancellation of the existing booking and the creation of a new booking.
If the requested new date or photography service has a higher published price, the client may be required to pay the difference.
Rescheduling does not guarantee that the same locations, timings, lighting conditions or other circumstances originally planned will be available.
Clients are responsible for arriving at the agreed meeting location at the agreed time.
If a client arrives late, the photoshoot will normally still finish at the originally scheduled finishing time where I have another commitment or where circumstances require it.
Additional photography time is not guaranteed and may be subject to an additional charge.
Significant delays may result in the photoshoot being shortened or, where it is no longer reasonably possible to complete the service, treated as a no-show.
If the client does not attend the photoshoot and has not contacted me to cancel or reschedule, the booking will be considered a no-show.
No-shows are non-refundable.
Photography in Siem Reap and Angkor takes place in tropical conditions where rain, cloud, heat and rapidly changing weather are normal.
Cloudy conditions, light rain, temporary showers or changes in natural light are not normally grounds for cancellation or refund.
Where practical, I may adjust the timing, location or photography plan to make the best use of the conditions.
If I determine that severe weather makes the photoshoot unsafe or impractical, I will attempt to reschedule the session to a mutually suitable time.
If I cancel the photoshoot because of severe weather and a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, payments made for the affected photography service will be refunded.
Where a photoshoot takes place at Angkor or another location controlled by a third party, access remains subject to the rules, opening hours, restrictions and decisions of the relevant authority or property.
Unless specifically stated as included, entrance tickets, temple passes and other third-party charges are the client’s responsibility.
Siem Reap Photographer cannot guarantee access to a particular temple, area, viewpoint or location where access is restricted or changed by the relevant authority.
Where possible, an appropriate alternative location will be offered.
In the unlikely event that I am unable to provide the booked photography service because of illness, emergency, equipment failure or another circumstance beyond reasonable control, I will first attempt to arrange a suitable alternative date where appropriate.
If I cancel the photography service and an acceptable alternative cannot be provided, the client will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the affected photography service.
My liability for cancellation of the photography service is limited to amounts paid to me for the affected service, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
Payments made through ABA PayWay will be refunded through the applicable PayWay refund process to the same payment method used for the original payment. PayWay payments will not be refunded in cash except where required by applicable law.
Where only part of the booking is refundable, a partial refund may be processed.
Any refund remains subject to the processing requirements and timelines of the relevant bank, card issuer or payment provider.
Approved refunds will be initiated as soon as reasonably practical.
For payments processed through ABA PayWay, eligible refunds will be submitted through the PayWay system within the period permitted by PayWay for the original transaction.
The time taken for funds to appear in the client’s account after a refund has been processed may depend on the payment method, bank, card issuer or other payment provider and may be outside the control of Siem Reap Photographer.
This cancellation policy applies to photography services supplied directly by Siem Reap Photographer.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, I am not responsible for refunds of third-party expenses including Angkor passes, transportation booked independently, guides, accommodation, flights, clothing rental, hair and makeup, venue fees or other services supplied by third parties.
Where I have specifically arranged a third-party service as part of the booking, cancellation of that component may also be subject to the supplier’s own cancellation terms.
Where a booking is made through a hotel, travel agent, destination management company or other authorised booking partner, the guest may also be subject to that partner’s booking and cancellation conditions.
Where the partner contracts directly with Siem Reap Photographer for the photography service, the commercial cancellation terms agreed with that partner will apply to the partner’s booking.
Guests who have booked and paid through a third party should normally contact that party regarding cancellation, changes and refunds.
Locations, routes and timings discussed before the photoshoot may occasionally need to change because of weather, traffic, temple restrictions, closures, crowd conditions, safety considerations or other circumstances outside my control.
Where this occurs, I will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative and deliver a photography experience of comparable scope and quality.
A reasonable change of location or itinerary does not by itself entitle the client to a refund.
Siem Reap Photographer will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances reasonably outside my control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, closure of locations, civil disturbance, transport disruption, epidemics or other exceptional events.
Where such circumstances prevent the photoshoot from taking place, I will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the booking or find another suitable solution.
Any refund entitlement will depend on the circumstances, services already provided or committed, recoverable third-party costs and applicable law.
Clients should review this Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy together with the applicable Terms & Conditions before making payment.
Where online payment is available, completion of the booking and payment process constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance of the policies presented during checkout.
